EKOTEZ in brief
EKOTEZ spol. s r. o. (Ltd.) was established in February 1991 in Prague right after the extensive political and economical changes in the Czech Republic. The majority of EKOTEZ partners come from Kovoslužba, the monopoly service organisation for refrigerators.
A team, headed by Mr. František Janda, has developed and subsequently constructed first recovery unit for refrigerants which was patented in Japan and in the USA in 1991. Committed to innovation we have been constantly working on improvement of our products. Our first device was 29 kg. Nowadays, EKOTEZ is producing one of the smallest and lightest units (9,5 kg) worldwide.
EKOTEZ has been developing further devices in the same concept related to the refrigerants such as:
- recovery units
- cleaning modules
- charging cylinders
- charging units
- flushing and degreasing units
In 1996 EKOTEZ started the production of professional industrial dehumidifiers with various performances. In 2004 we extended the range of our products to swimming pool dehumidifiers and room and laundry dryers.
Our activities are targeted at the European Market. Our distributor, ITE Company Belgium has a very well organised sale net all over the Europe and has taken over the sale of our devices in this area.
EKOTEZ is a part of a sub-project for Global Environment Facility (GEF), a phase-out program of ODS (Ozone Depleting Substances). Czech collecting network for used refrigerants is managed by system 3R (recovery, reclaim and recycling).
The Investment Project for the Phase-out of Ozone Depleting Substances in the Czech Republic was approved under the GEF Grant Number 28661 in August 1994 and rounded off in March 1998. The project was the first one designed in the Central Europe.
From 1993 till 2003 EKOTEZ company has realised a total of 53 international projects (For further information find the References).
EKOTEZ has achieved excellent experiences with the 3R Scheme in technology and organisation of such scheme. The project has a significant regional and potentially global impact. ?Lessons learned from the Czech 3R project are important for the development of future projects worldwide?, says the report of the World Bank.
EKOTEZ is also active as a wholesaler of all components, equipment and accessories related to the refrigerating and A/C industries. We are looking for suppliers from all over the world in an endeavour to supply the Czech market with new sophisticated components of a good quality and price. In the meantime we are also looking for purchasers of our products to expand our high-quality brand, experiences and tradition all over the world .
